The Acellus Administrator Interface gives teachers a sophisticated means of supervising the learning process. This interface provides multiple views allowing teachers to observe and guide individual students as well as the entire class. The Administrator Interface enables teachers to monitor the progress of students in the course, reposition students, assign grades and many other functions.
Student Performance Section
This administrative section includes several options for reviewing and setting parameters for student performance reports.
The Student Progress Report is a comprehensive report on each student's progress. Teachers will be able to review information including:
- Student’s goal for entire course and broken down by period
- Number of lectures completed
- Student’s standing in accordance to his/her goal
- Average percentages achieved in accuracy per lesson
- Teacher Assessment
- Number of Exams completed
- Exams scores in percentages
- Teacher Comments
Acellus assigns a grade to each student based on the progress toward their goal, the percentage of accuracy they achieve on the problems, the percentages they achieve on the Unit Exams and the Course Exams, and, if desired, on the Manual Teacher Input score assigned by the teacher. Teachers are able to set the percentage for each item to determine the grade and to set a grading curve if desired.
Some of the other options available in the Acellus Administration Section are:
- Set Student Goals - where the teacher assigns the number of lectures each student is to complete and the date when the goal is to be completed.
- List Students in Classes - allows the teacher to view student progress by class. View lists all the students in that class as well as their position (lecture and problem number) in the course.
- List Students by Lecture - shows all lectures that have been done by a class. Details include lecture number, right/wrong answers, total problems and total unique problem completed and number of student who have completed each lecture.
- List Students by Date - shows the activities of the class on a given day. A detailed “Activities Log” lists details of each action taken by individual students.
- List Exams Taken - includes information on date exam was taken and a summary of the student’s performance on each exam.
- Reposition a Student - move a student forward or backward through the Acellus curriculum.
- Set Entire Class Position - temporarily repositions all the students in a class to the same problem.
