Setting Up Your Parent Sign-in

  How do I get set up to monitor my student?

To protect student information, the Acellus parent interface is protected by GoldKey Security. To set up your secure login you will need to create a GoldKey ID and install a Soft-Token on your computer. To get started, select this button:

  1. Enter your email address (must be same address used to set up your student's account).
  2. The "Acellus Learning System Setup" email will be sent to your email address.
  3. Follow the instructions provided to set up your GoldKey ID and install a Soft-Token on your computer.

Note: If you cannot find the "Acellus Learning System Setup" email, you may want to check your junk mail.

After completing the above setup process you will be able to access the Acellus Parent Interface with your GoldKey through "Parent Sign In."

  Is there a way to monitor my student on an iPad or other mobile device?

Yes. You may install a Soft-Token on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device by
following these steps:

  • Go to the App Store or the Play Store.
  • Search for "GoldKey."
  • Install the GoldKey Soft-Token Installer App.
  • If you are not prompted to add a user, select "Add a User."
  • Complete the process of adding a user. Be sure to use the same email address you used to register your student(s).
  • You will be asked to create a PIN. You may use whatever you want to for the PIN.
  • Follow the rest of the steps to create your GoldKey Soft-Token, including Phone Verification.

When you have successfully installed the Soft-Token, you may open a browser, go to AcellusAcademy.com, select Parent Sign In, and enter your PIN. When you have successfully signed in, touch the "Home" button at the bottom of your device and navigate back to your browser to access the Acellus Parent Interface.

  Can I monitor more than one student in my account?

Yes. When you sign into the Parent Interface, you will see a list of all the students you have enrolled in your account. You can monitor any of these students. The names of any new students that you enroll in your account will automatically be added to this list.

  How can I access the Acellus Parent Interface on multiple computers?

Each GoldKey Soft-Token will only work on the computer where it is created, but you can create a Soft-Token on as many computers as you want. To add a Soft-Token, do the following:

  1. Make sure the computer you are on has the GoldKey Software, available here, installed. (Select GoldKey Lite for Windows, or the correct version for your OS for Mac.)
  2. Go to the GoldKeyID Account Recovery page.
  3. Go through the account recovery process to access your GoldKeyID account:
    1. Enter your email address and select "Start Recovery."
    2. Find the Account Recovery email that you will be sent and click on the Account Recovery link in the email.
    3. Enter your phone number and perform phone verification.
  4. Select "Add a Soft-Token" and follow the prompts.
  5. Sign out of GoldKeyID and sign into AcellusAcademy.com as a parent.
  How can my student's other parent, his teacher or his tutor monitor his Acellus progress?

To allow your student's other parent, his teacher, or his tutor to monitor his Acellus progress, your student can add the person's email address under "Parent Registration" in the Acellus Student Interface. This will automatically generate an email with the subject line "Invitation to Monitor" which will be sent to the email address provided by your student. The email includes a link to create a GoldKey ID, which will guide the teacher or tutor through the GoldKey ID set up process.

  • Note: Personal student information may be accessed by individuals through the monitoring system. It is advised that students use discretion when inviting persons to monitor their progress.
  • Note: Persons invited to monitor student progress in this way do not have access to the "Manage an Account" section of the Parent Interface.


Sign-in Assistance

  Why doesn't the GoldKey PIN prompt come up when I go to Parent Sign In?

If you do not see the GoldKey PIN prompt window when signing in with GoldKey, it may be due to one of the following issues:

  1. You need to Install the GoldKey Software.
    The GoldKey software must be installed on each computer from which you plan to access the Acellus Parent Interface. The software is available here. (Select GoldKey Lite for Windows, or the correct version for your OS for Mac.)
  2. The GoldKey PIN prompt window is behind your browser window.
    This happens if you click on your browser while the PIN prompt is coming up. Minimize your browser or restart session (refresh) to view the GoldKey PIN prompt window.
  Why am I asked to enter security questions when I set up my GoldKey ID?

If you should forget your GoldKey PIN, you may reset it through GoldKey ID. To keep your GoldKey-secured data safe, we need to be certain it is "you," not someone who is trying to use your GoldKey ID to change your GoldKey PIN and gain access to your data. Your answers to these personal security questions are used as a form of authentication to make sure it is really you. This private information is kept safe with GoldKey technology.

  I have forgotten my GoldKey PIN. What do I do now?

You can reset your GoldKey Soft-Token PIN or create a new Soft-Token by going through the Account Recover Process, as follows:

  1. First, select this button and go through the account recovery process to access your GoldKeyID account:


    1. Enter your email address and select "Start Recovery."
    2. Find the Account Recovery email that you will be sent and click on the Account Recovery link in the email.
    3. Enter your phone number and perform phone verification.
  2. Now EITHER select "Add a Soft-Token" and follow the prompts, OR select the token whose PIN you would like to reset, select the Reset PIN button that appears, and follow the prompts to reset the PIN.
  3. Sign out of GoldKeyID and sign into AcellusAcademy.com as a parent.
  My student forgot her password. How can I help her?

If you have a GoldKey and are able to monitor your student's account, you can recover or reset her password. To do this, go to AcellusAcademy.com and sign in as a parent. Select your student's name, and then select the "Edit Student Account" link in the menu in the top right corner of the screen.

On your student's account screen, you will see her current password. You can give her this password, or you can select "Generate New Password" and give her the new one that will appear.

Note: If you are monitoring your student's school account, you may wish to coordinate regenerating a password with your child's teacher.


Troubleshooting

  My student entered my email address so I could monitor her progress, but I didn't get an email.

First, check your junk mail. Search for the subject line "Invitation to Monitor". Be sure to allow email from acellus.com in the future. If you still can't find your email, you may need to check and make sure your email address was correctly entered by your student.
