AP Calculus Teachers:
The AP exam is just around the corner. Are your students going to be ready for the exam? If you feel that they need some assistance in preparing for the exam, Acellus has a course that serves that purpose, and the course is available for student use RIGHT NOW.
Introducing…….. Acellus AP Calculus Exam Prep Course.
The AP Calculus (AB) Exam Prep Course was developed by Mr. Pat Mara, who is the instructor for the Acellus AP Calculus course. (The Acellus AP Calculus course is authorized by the College Board for the use of “AP” in the title.) Mr. Mara is a veteran AP Calculus teacher, and has been an AP exam reader in past years. He has an excellent background as to the key topics and types of questions that are covered on the exam. Pat Mara is also the instructor on the AP Calculus Exam Prep Course.
The AP Prep course was designed for students to quickly and efficiently review many topics and questions through 27 short review lectures. For each lecture, there is an A as well as a B video, enabling students to receive more help within any particular lesson. In lectures 1-21 the problems are presented in multiple choice format, 2 items per lesson (in both A and B lectures). Free response items are in lectures 22-27, 1 item per lesson (in both A and B lectures). Throughout the 27 review lectures, students will be given:
- information on the exam. (How the exam is broken up into parts; how each part is scored; how the overall AP exam score is determined)
- exam-like problems (both multiple choice and free response, calculator active and non-calculator active) with step by step explanations, solutions and/or analysis.
- a variety of problems whose solutions involve the analytical (algebraic) approaches, along with many that require graphical and numerical analysis.
- helpful strategies in taking the exam (for both multiple choice and free response items)
- confidence as the exam date approaches as they prepare.
